Deployment Packaging Station
My husbands office can be pretty messy when he's home. It doesn't change much in that sense but it is a different mess. A few months ago I cleaned up the office to use it for a party, and since then I have taken it over for my sewing and for a packaging station.
I am a thrifty shopaholic. Meaning, I shop but only buy sale items or things that are cheaper in bulk. So we have a table of stuff for packages to send to my husband. I try to keep everything I need there and everything that I want to send to him, weather its for the next package or for one after Christmas. We still have at least 6 months to go, so I know all of this stuff will be used.

What a great idea! My husband is Navy, so all of his deployments are different. When he was on a sub, he could get a small envelope only when there were mail drops. I had to be really creative. While he was in Afghanistan, I about a package a month. I was pregnant with a 12 month old at home and then a newborn and a 14 month old. Getting a box and two kids into the post office was hard! I've always thought that post offices should have drive thru windows or at least carts in the parking lot to wheel your packages inside. Then when me husband was on a carrier, the sailors could get packages, but it took a while to get to the ship since things were dropped by helicopters and parts, food, etc were the first priority. Since my kids were a bit older, we sent crafts a couple times a month.
